Laser sailing at Hingham Yacht Club is a chance for adults to play in their very own one-design dinghy.
The rejuvenated fleet consists of beginners through All-Americans, sailing on vintage boats from the 70’s to brand new, all in a spirit of good fun and friendly competition.
All this fun kicks off with a season-opening Salty Dog Regatta in June. Most Friday nights during the summer the Lasers will be sailing just off the docks while family members cook on the grill and spectate. On full moon nights, these intrepid sailors may venture off on a night sail into the moonbeams. And always, the sailing ends with a healthy dose of socializing on the docks afterwards as war stories from the night’s antics compete with de-rigging duties.
